Banana Plants with cast iron lamppost on Place d'Armes/ Jackson Square. French Quarter New Orleans.
The banana plants grow very large along the square. In the fall full size bananas are harvested. Often bananas are given to the Herman-Grima house for their outdoor kitchen. My mother was given bananas often. She would prop a large bunch by the door and allow them to ripen. Guests were offered bananas they would pick from the stalk. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces.
